Job description

Responsibilities
  1. Conduct site visits with follow-up proposals and reports to installation sites and interconnection facilities.
  2. Possess sound knowledge of both DC & AC electrical systems and IT networking, with experience in design, installation, troubleshooting, and re-engineering.
  3. Prepare bill of materials (BOM) for DC, LV, & MV electrical systems and manage material procurement to ensure timely and adequate inventory until project completion.
  4. Provide general and technical support throughout the entire tender process.
  5. Initiate meetings with clients, consultants, authorities, management, and cross-departments from tender stage until project handover.
  6. Liaise and manage subcontractors regarding their scope of work, schedules, and monitor workmanship quality during installation.
  7. Record, implement, and manage design change requirements through submittals.
  8. Collaborate with internal and external parties such as consulting firms and authorities on licensing, permits, and documentation.
  9. Liaise and coordinate with grid operators and authorities on the interconnection of MV/HV electrical systems to the power grid.
  10. Experience in testing and commissioning of both DC & AC electrical systems, with the ability to troubleshoot and rectify issues during testing and commissioning.
  11. Review project deliverables at every phase to ensure adherence to timeline and budget.
  12. Implement best practices and safe work procedures in compliance with authorities' rules and regulations throughout the project on-site.
  13. Assist in organizing post-mortem meetings to evaluate project results, challenges faced, and provide recommendations for future improvement.
  14. Proficient in technical letter writing, reports, presentations, and method of statement documentation.
  15. Contribute to, comply with, and be committed to the company's Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental Management System, ensuring full compliance with international standards, legal requirements, local regulations, and codes of practice.
Requirements
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • At least 1 year of experience in electrical industries such as machinery maintenance, product development, factory automation, M&E consultation, application engineering, or MV/HV equipment.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical systems.
  • Experience with AutoCAD.
  • Experience in C&I solar projects is an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel to job sites as needed.
  • Must have a vehicle for work-related travel and site visits.
