The ideal candidate will hold a Civil Engineering degree or diploma with 2-3 years of experience in bridge construction. Job description

Assist the Project Manager and Construction Manager in supervising day-to-day site operations, especially related to bridge and elevated structure works.

Monitor and coordinate construction activities to ensure compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and project timelines.

Liaise with subcontractors, consultants, suppliers, and authorities to ensure smooth site execution.

Review and interpret technical drawings, method statements, and specifications.

Conduct inspections and ensure quality control and proper documentation (WIRs, site reports, progress updates).

Resolve technical and site-related issues promptly, escalating to senior engineers where necessary.

Attend coordination meetings and site briefings.

What we're looking for

Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent.

Minimum 2–3 years of experience in bridge or viaduct construction; experience in rail infrastructure is a strong advantage.

Able to read and interpret construction drawings and structural details.

Knowledge of QA/QC procedures, WIR submission, and HSE requirements.

Proficiency in Mandarin (spoken) is required to liaise with Mandarin-speaking internal team members.

Good teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Willing to be based in Kuching and work on-site full time.
