Job summary

A construction company based in Penang seeks an individual to assist the Project Manager in overseeing construction projects. The role involves managing technical aspects, interacting with clients, and ensuring compliance with engineering standards. Candidates should possess a degree in Civil Engineering and at least three years of relevant experience. Proficiency in Microsoft tools, AutoCAD, and Revit is essential. The position requires strong analytical and project management skills, with the ability to work independently.

Job description

Assist Project Manager in managing construction projects and in charge of full aspect of engineering and technical requirements.

Interacting with clients, interpreting their needs and requirements.

Check construction drawings for accuracy and completion for construction, material planning, work program and resolve all engineering and technical issues.

Manage and coordinate consultants' designs and ensure consultants' design are optimum and according to relevant authority's requirements & guidelines.

Liaise with contractors, suppliers and internal company stakeholders. Review the engineering tasks and initiate the necessary corrective actions if needed.

Keep track on variation and claims of contract and cost impact and feedback information to project manager.

Performing quality control tasks on budgets, schedules, plans, and labour force and reporting on the project's status. Attend site meeting on progress update.

Ensure the project's compliance with the applicable codes, practices, policies, performance standards, and specifications.

QUALIFICATION & REQUIREMENTS:

Degree in Structural and Civil Engineering or its equivalent.

At least 3 years of working experience in civil structure works & good in handling site technical issues.

Analytical and good in project management and co-ordination skills.

Able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Computer skill required : Microsoft office, Microsoft project, ACAD & Revit.
