The Role

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with project managers and architects to develop comprehensive project plans aligned with objectives, specifications, and timelines.
• Oversee daily activities on-site, including equipment, materials, and workforce management.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards through regular inspections and assessments.
• Implement safety protocols, conduct safety meetings, and inspections to maintain a secure environment.
• Manage labor resources, including recruitment, scheduling, and coordination of subcontractors and personnel.
• Monitor project budgets, track material usage, and identify cost-saving opportunities; report variances.
• Maintain accurate records of all project activities such as progress reports, work orders, change orders, and as-built drawings.
• Address challenges promptly, propose solutions, and make informed decisions to safeguard project integrity.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing regular updates and addressing concerns.
• Apply knowledge of construction techniques, materials, and equipment; support the construction team technically.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes, permits, and regulations; obtain necessary permits.
• Promote environmentally sustainable practices on-site, complying with environmental regulations.

Ideal Profile

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field; relevant certifications are advantageous.
• Experience in construction or engineering with successful project management.
• Proficiency in construction management software, CAD, and Microsoft Office; strong knowledge of codes and standards.
• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder interaction.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Leadership ability to manage diverse teams and subcontractors.
• Effective time management and organizational skills to meet deadlines.
