Job summary

A leading food manufacturing company in Malaysia is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to assist in the maintenance and repair of equipment at their facilities. The role involves supervising breakdown maintenance, preventive repairs, and training fitters. Candidates should possess an Engineering degree and knowledge in heavy equipment repair and supervision.

Qualifications

• At least a Degree holder of Engineering.
• Knowledgeable in heavy equipment repairs, machining, and metalworking.
• Knowledge of principles and practices of effective management & supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assist in metal fabrication, installation, and modification for mechanical equipment.
• Supervise and carry out breakdown maintenance jobs for Jetty and Silo equipment.
• Plan and supervise preventive maintenance & repair in silo & jetty equipment.

Job Description

• To assist in metal fabrication, installation and modification for mechanical equipment, structures for Jetty, New Silo & Old Silo.
• To supervise and carry out Breakdown Maintenance jobs Jetty and Silo equipment and machines to enable machine to resume operation.
• To plan & supervise and carry out preventive maintenance & repair in silo & jetty equipement
• Coordinates the acquisition of special repair parts and/ or materials to ensure installation and repair works are not interrupted by insufficient of spare parts availability.
• To guide and train Fitters and Maintenance Assistants to gain job skills and knowledge on how-to make metal fabrication works.
• Others job responsibilities to be determined by the Superior from time to time

Qualifications

• Knowledge of principles and practices of effective management & supervision.
• Knowledge of repairs of mechanized equipment.
• Knowledge of tools, equipment, and materials common to the mechanical trade
