Job summary

Molex is seeking a Signal Integrity Engineer in Penang, Malaysia to join our growing SI team. You’ll design and improve high-speed connectors, cables and systems using EM simulation and measurements, collaborating with global engineers across locations.

Responsibilities include driving SI design, developing test procedures, and producing evaluation reports for internal and customer use; travel internationally is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Physics or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in signal integrity or high-speed interconnect work.
• Strong understanding of electromagnetics and SI fundamentals.
• Experience with SI CAD/CAE tools listed above.
• Good English communication; willingness to travel internationally.

Responsibilities

• Drive signal integrity design for high-speed connectors, cables and PCB test boards.
• Characterize devices using testing and modeling; correlate with measurements.
• Develop test procedures, fixtures, and qualification boards with PCB houses.
• Create evaluation reports and presentations for internal and customer use.
• Provide expert SI advice and present to Sales, Marketing and customers.
• Collaborate with customers on high-speed serial I/O and related applications.
• Stay current with industry trends in high-speed connectors and share insights.
