Molex is seeking a Signal Integrity Engineer for its expanding SI team in Penang, Malaysia. You will design and improve connectors, cables and systems for high-speed data center and networking applications, using electromagnetic simulation and high-speed measurement, while collaborating with SI engineers across our global team.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Physics or related field.
• 3+ years of signal integrity/high-speed interconnect experience.
• Strong understanding of electromagnetics and high-speed SI fundamentals.

Aufgaben

• Drive the signal integrity design of new high-speed connectors, cable products and PCB test boards.
• Characterize high-speed connectors and systems using high-speed digital testing and electromagnetic modeling, and correlate simulation results with measurement data
• Develop electrical test procedures and specifications, test fixtures, and characterization and customer verification boards, working with PCB design houses
• Generate evaluation and qualification reports and presentation materials for internal and customer use
• Provide expert advice on signal integrity matters and conduct technical presentations to Sales, Marketing and customers
• Work with customers on high-speed serial I/O, backplane, board-to-board and channel applications
• Stay up to date with industry trends in high-speed connector requirements and share information with team members

Molex is looking for a Signal Integrity Engineer to join our growing SI team in Penang, Malaysia. You will use electromagnetic simulation and high-speed measurement to design and improve connectors, cables and systems for next-generation data center and networking applications, while training and collaborating with SI engineers across our global team

Our Team

You will join the Signal Integrity team in Copper Solutions, part of Molex’s Datacom & Specialty Solutions division. Our global team spans Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, the United States, China, Korea and Vietnam, and works closely with design, PCB layout, test, Marketing, Sales and customers to bring high-speed connectivity solutions from concept to customer.

What You Will Do

• Drive the signal integrity design of new high-speed connectors, cable products and PCB test boards
• Characterize high-speed connectors and systems using high-speed digital testing and electromagnetic modeling, and correlate simulation results with measurement data

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Physics or a related field
• At least 3 years of experience in signal integrity, high-speed interconnect or related engineering work
• Solid understanding of electromagnetics and high-speed SI fundamentals such as transmission lines, S-parameters, impedance and crosstalk
• Experience with available CAD/CAE tools such as Channel Designer, HFSS, CST, Agilent ADS, Agilent PLTS, Cadence CAD tools
• Ability to communicate technical results clearly in English, both written and verbal, and willingness to travel internationally

What Will Put You Ahead

• Master’s or PhD degree with a focus on electromagnetics, microwave engineering or signal integrity
• Experience designing and supporting high-speed connectors, cables or PCB channels, including 112G/224G/448G PAM4
• Lab experience with VNAs, TDRs and oscilloscopes, including fixture de-embedding
• Python or other scripting skills to automate simulation and analysis flows
• Experience working directly with customers or with global, cross-functional teams
