Job summary

JD Sports SEA in Malaysia is seeking a Retail Profit Protection professional to support the Area and the Senior/Territory Profit Protection Manager in shrinkage reduction strategies per the group plan. You will oversee and participate in stock audits, investigate discrepancies, and communicate with law enforcement when required.

You will ensure compliance with risk management policies and drive loss prevention across operations. Willingness to travel interstate and own transport are essential.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years’ experience in Retail Profit Protection or related fields.
• Investigatory experience and knowledge of criminal and employment law is advantageous.
• Experience delivering strategies that drive KPIs and shrink reduction.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to handle a challenging and fast-paced environment.
• Able to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
• Own transport is essential and interstate travel will be required.

Responsibilities

• Support to designated Area and to the Senior/Territory Profit Protection Manager in shrinkage reduction strategies, in line with the Group Profit Protection Strategy.
• Support to oversee and manage Stock Audits in line with company procedures, attending the audits where required and visiting stores prior to ensure preparations are understood and followed.
• Support investigation and root cause analysis for any inventory discrepancies, losses and incidents that relate to criminality by communicating with relevant law enforcement when required.
• Complete regular procedural and process compliance reviews to identify areas of non-compliance to risk management policy, reporting the result and executing the plans to help with correction action or training when required.
• Ensure loss exposure is minimised across all operational areas, by adherence to the Profit Protection, Store Operations and Stock Audit Manuals.
• Support communication and executing control measure for known shrink i.e. Damaged / Faulty / Stolen.
• To prioritise workload, ensuring that all reports and investigations are completed within the deadlines set.
