Competenze

About the role

KK Group of Companies (Retail) is seeking a Shop Assistant to join our team at KK SUPER MART Perak in Kampar, Bandar Baru (PKBB). This is a part-time position that offers flexibility whilst contributing to the smooth operations of our retail store. As a Shop Assistant, you will be at the heart of the customer experience, ensuring our store runs efficiently and our customers receive exceptional service. This role is essential to maintaining our reputation for quality service and product availability across our retail operations.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner upon arrival at the store
• Stock shelves and displays with merchandise, ensuring products are arranged neatly and priced correctly
• Operate the point of sale system to process customer transactions accurately and efficiently
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation throughout the store, including aisles, stockrooms and customer facilities
• Assist customers in locating products and provide knowledgeable recommendations
• Handle customer enquiries and complaints with professionalism and courtesy
• Conduct regular stock checks and report inventory discrepancies to management
• Follow cash handling procedures and maintain accuracy in till operations
• Support promotional activities and ensure displays comply with company standards
• Adhere to health, safety and hygiene regulations at all times

What we're looking for

• Previous experience in retail or customer service is advantageous but not essential
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse customers
• Reliability and punctuality, with flexibility to work part-time hours as required
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced retail environment
• Basic numeracy skills and comfort with point of sale systems and technology
• Physical ability to lift, carry and stand for extended periods
• Attention to detail and organisational skills
• Malaysian resident with valid identification documentation
