Job summary

Rakanda in Batu Caves, Selangor, is looking for a Shop Assistant to support the store manager on the floor, manage stock, and deliver friendly customer service. You will handle deliveries, assist customers, label shelves, and help maintain an orderly shop.

The role requires stamina, teamwork, and good communication in Bahasa Melayu and English. This is a full-time, on-site position with shift work, weekends and public holidays.

Qualifications

• Min SPM or equivalent
• Age 18-36
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to communicate effectively in Bahasa Melayu and English
• Basic computer literacy and numeracy skills
• Willingness to work on shifts, weekends and public holidays

Responsibilities

• Assist the store manager on the shop floor and manage daily tasks
• Receive, unpack and arrange newly delivered stocks
• Assist customers in finding and selecting products

Job description

The Shop Assistant will be responsible to assist the retail store manager with working the floor, managing inventory, and providing customer service. This position requires physical fitness and excellent stamina, good interpersonal and strong team spirit.

In this role, you will:

• Receiving, unpacking and arranging newly delivered stocks.
• Assisting customers in finding the products they're looking for.
• Addressing customer complaints and inquiries.
• Sharp, precise, and very careful in handling the job.
• Labelling and arranging goods on the display shelves.
• Hardworking and positive in all instruction given
• Responsible to retail selling.
