Shipping Assistant Manager / Manager (Food Manufacturing)

You will be responsible for ensuring timely delivery of products to customers and maintaining accurate records of shipments. You will have experience in managing shipping and logistics operations in a food manufacturing environment and be familiar with the regulations and requirements for food product transportation.

2. Job Description:

Manage all aspects of the shipping process, including scheduling, routing, and tracking shipments.

Plan and coordinate daily shipping activities, including scheduling shipments, preparing shipping documents, and coordinating with carriers.

Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations and customs requirements.

Maintain accurate records of shipments, including documentation and tracking information.

Develop and implement KPIs to measure and monitor the performance of shipping operations.

Manage relationships with carriers, freight forwarders, and other logistics service providers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products.

Work closely with the sales and production teams to ensure timely delivery of products to customers.

Develop and implement training programs for shipping staff to ensure proficiency in shipping operations and safety procedures.

Manage and supervise the shipping team, including hiring, training, and performance management.

Monitor and analyze shipping performance metrics, such as on-time delivery, transit time, and transportation costs.

Develop and implement shipping policies and procedures to improve efficiency and reduce errors.

Coordinate with other departments, such as production and sales, to ensure that shipping activities are aligned with business objectives.

Develop and manage the shipping budget.
