Topaz Engineering Sdn Bhd, a leading engineering company, is seeking a skilled and dedicated Service Technician to join our team in Penang Island, Penang. As a full-time Service Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing our clients' equipment, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction.

What you'll be doing

1. Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on a variety of industrial equipment
2. Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with equipment, and implement effective solutions
3. Carry out repair and replacement of faulty components, following established procedures
4. Maintain detailed records of all service activities and report on work completed
5. Collaborate with the wider engineering team to identify and implement process improvements
6. Ensure a safe work environment by adhering to all health and safety regulations

What we're looking for

1. Minimum 1-3 years of experience as a Service Technician or in a similar technical role
2. Physical ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery
3. Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, with the ability to interpret technical schematics
4. Proficiency in the use of hand and power tools, as well as diagnostic equipment
5. Excellent problem-solving skills and critical thinking abilities
6. Good verbal and written communication skills for liaising with clients and reporting
7. Team player with a customer service focus
8. Willingness to work flexible hours, including on-call duties
