Service & Support Engineering Supervisor

As a Service & Support Engineering Supervisor at Easmed Malaysia, you’ll lead a small team of engineers and be actively involved in the field—ensuring the proper installation, servicing, and maintenance of biomedical equipment. This role includes regular travel and hospital site visits across Malaysia to support our healthcare partners.

What You’ll Do

1. Team Supervision
2. Lead and support a team of Service Engineers in daily service operations, ensuring the equipment/machine are properly installed and can be safely operated.
3. Assign and allocate jobs, manage schedules, and monitor service quality.
4. Provide guidance on technical issues and troubleshooting.
5. Technical Service Operations
6. Travel to hospitals for equipment installation and commissioning.
7. Perform and supervise preventive maintenance and repair work.
8. Troubleshoot technical issues and ensure equipment complies with specifications.
9. Assist in setup for medical events and support operating theatre cases when needed.
10. Plan and ensure that stock levels of spare parts are maintained.
11. Customer & Service Coordination
12. Provide professional on-site support and maintain strong customer relationships.
13. Prepare service quotations and maintenance contract proposals.
14. Participate in standby service (rostered) for urgent calls, mainly for sleep-related devices.
15. Documentation & Process Improvement
16. Ensure accurate reporting of service activities and equipment records.
17. Suggest improvements to enhance service efficiency and customer experience.
18. Support technical training and upskilling within the team.
19. Manage and enforce documentation, SOPs, and workflows deployed from the regional office and build a knowledge database for analysis, learning, and sharing.
20. Identify common issues and errors and prepare articles or advisories to educate the Engineers.

What We’re Looking For

• Diploma or Degree in Biomedical, Electrical, or Electronic Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in servicing medical equipment with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
• Willing to travel regularly and work on-site at hospitals.
• Strong troubleshooting skills, initiative, and a customer-first mindset.
• Experience in leading a team.
