About the role

As the Service Sales Engineer for Carrier, you are responsible for interacting with customers and field team members to drive Service Agreement opportunities in the Malaysian market. You will successfully match customer pain/requirements to proposed Service Agreements that deliver net benefits to customers, besides creating and delivering powerful presentations and demos that clearly communicate the uniqueness of the value proposition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify prospects and establish professional relationships to understand customer needs and suggest products and/or services that meet those needs.
  • Participate in business development activities for prospects within defined customer segments to support the business strategy.
  • Identify bid opportunities, prepare bid responses, and negotiate with potential customers.
  • Develop new customer contact leads for the sales business development team.
  • Support the management team representative on prospective target accounts or territories.
  • Develop personal long-term customer relationships with prospective accounts to influence opportunities.
  • Attend trade shows at times to increase visibility and potentially influence prospects.
  • Maintain and develop professional relationships with prospects to understand and meet customer needs within the bounds of contracted scope.
  • Responsible for business development activities for prospects to support the business strategy defined by leadership.
  • Develop bid opportunities, prepare bid responses, participate in negotiations with potential customers, and maintain customer relationships to win projects.
  • Identify potential prospects to discuss their needs and explain how these needs could be met by specific products and services to create a new client base and increase sales.
  • Educate prospects and advise on the product line, addressing resistance to develop business.
  • Support the management team representative on target accounts or territories, maintaining a personal pipeline and customer log.
  • Hunt for opportunities.

Requirements:

We are looking for people who are sales-driven and have a proven track record in aftermarket services. If this is you, get in touch.

As a minimum, you must have:

  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably Mechanical/Electrical or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 3 years prior relevant experience in aftermarket services or an advanced degree in a related field with a minimum of 3 years experience.
  • Exposure to managing sales pipeline and activities cadence.
  • A hunter mindset and hunger to achieve targets.
  • Willingness to travel within Klang Valley.
