This position reports to

Marketing & Sales Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop, implement, and manage the account strategy for local/strategic accounts focused on share of wallet growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction. You will coordinate sales activities and manage resolution of customer problems. You will lead the development and implementation of the account plan and growth actions. The work model is: #LI-onsite, #LI-hybrid. This role contributes to the Electrification Service Business based in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. Main stakeholders are {insert main stakeholder groups if available}. Main responsibilities include:

  1. Defining and proposing sales targets for the account and ensuring achievement through a structured follow-up process across divisions and countries.
  2. Creating value for both the customer and ABB through a coordinated sales approach.
  3. Applying standardized Marketing and Sales processes and tools, exploring the install base and equipment lifecycle to develop opportunities.
  4. Selling products/solutions/services focusing on volume, mix, and profitability targets.
  5. Developing and implementing the account plan and growth actions.
  6. Monitoring competitors' activity and formulating appropriate response strategies.
  7. Understanding key drivers of the customer's business and environment to interpret impact and opportunities for ABB.

Qualifications for the role

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent; business degrees with relevant qualifications may also apply.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in the Oil & Gas industry related to MV and LV switchgear business; switchgear service sales experience is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with Petronas requirements for category management, agents, and distributors.
  • Experience and network among key accounts in Malaysia, including Petronas, Shell, PTTEP, Hess, Hibiscus, JX Nippon, and others.
  • Experience leading small teams and handling large bids with extensive terms and conditions negotiations.
  • Confidence and ability to interact with C-suite stakeholders.
