Job Responsibilities

  1. Forecast goals and objectives for the branch and implement action plans to achieve high turnover and profitability.
  2. Handle customers and resolve difficult and serious customer complaints when required, initiating customer care activities consistently to generate satisfaction of customers and top-tier service in the industry.
  3. Plan and implement staffing requirements.
  4. Recruit (when required), train, mentor, and develop technicians, service advisors, and other staff by providing a nurturing environment where they can progress in their career and improve themselves.
  5. Manage the performance of all service staff and monitor the quality of work done, leading by example.
  6. Organize and coordinate the daily workload and work distribution of all service staff in the workshop; ensuring proper staffing at all times.
  7. Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly operations briefings with the service team to streamline and improve operation procedures, processes, communication, work quality, and profitability.
  8. Build a good image of the company and maintain strong relationships with the Principal Company and suppliers.
  9. Understand and ensure compliance with principal warranty and policy procedures at the branch.
  10. Oversee and perform administrative activities of the branch as needed.
  11. Undertake ad-hoc assignments from upper management from time to time.
  12. Ensure service premises are well maintained, clean, and tidy at all times complying with 5S.

Requirements

  1. At least 5 years of relevant experience in managing an automotive aftersales or service workshop in an authorized dealership (Honda dealership candidates will be preferred).
  2. Good interpersonal skills and able to interact effectively with internal and external customers.
  3. Good managerial and administrative skills with a good sense of initiative and positive work attitude.
  4. Good, charismatic leader who is able to lead & motivate the service team to strive for better work performance.
  5. Proficient in Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
  6. Good written and spoken English and Malay communication skills.
  7. Good leadership & problem-solving skills.
  8. Willing & able to travel interstate from time to time as needed.
