The role involves installation, calibration, and maintenance of weighing equipment ensuring compliance with ISO standards. Ideal candidates will possess a diploma in engineering, with at least 2 years experience in the relevant field, capable of troubleshooting and providing excellent customer service.
Arkoweight seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Calibration and Service Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, calibration, repair, and maintenance of various types of weighing scales used across different industries. This role requires technical proficiency, an understanding of calibration standards, and a customer-centric approach to ensuring the accuracy and performance of weighing equipment.
Qualifications & experience
Minimum Diploma in Electrical, Mechatronic, Mechanical Engineering
Must have at least 2 years of working experience in engineering background, prefer in on-site calibration field that comply with ISO17025 standard
Must have good knowledge in ISO17025 standard
Must have good knowledge in Mathematic, electrical measuring terms
Must have good knowledge in Microsoft Office software (Word & Excel) & CAD tools (AutoCAD & Solidworks)
Must have good knowledge in PLC communication
Experience in using, servicing or calibrating weighing balances, weighing scale, load cell system is an advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
Calibration & Testing:
Perform calibration of weighing equipment, ensuring they meet regulatory and ISO standards.
Use appropriate calibration weights and techniques to verify and adjust weighing scale accuracy.
Prepare and maintain calibration certificates and detailed reports of the calibration processes.
Troubleshoot and resolve scale inaccuracies, ensuring compliance with local laws and industry regulations.
Installation & Setup:
Install and set up various types of weighing system & weighing equipment, including but not limited to, platform scales, bench scales, and tank scales.
Conduct initial testing and ensure the equipment operates correctly before final handover to clients.
Maintenance & Repair:
Perform preventative maintenance on weighing equipment to ensure their reliability and accuracy.
Respond promptly to service calls and conduct necessary diagnosis on malfunctioning equipment.
Replace worn-out or damaged parts and perform repairs as necessary.
Customer Support & Service:
Provide excellent customer service by educating clients on the proper use and maintenance of their weighing equipment.
Address client concerns and resolve issues related to weighing equipment performance, calibration, and maintenance.
Communicate effectively with customers to schedule service appointments and ensure timely support.
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain accurate service records, calibration logs, and inspection reports.
Provide detailed service reports to clients after each maintenance or calibration session.
Ensure compliance with quality control standards and industry guidelines in all activities.
Compliance & Safety:
Ensure all calibration, repair, and installation work is performed in accordance with relevant health, safety, and quality standards.
Stay updated on industry regulations and standards for calibration and weighing equipment technology.
