Service Engineer

We are seeking a Service Engineer to join our Global Customer Support team!

If you have experience in Automation and Control Systems and hands-on skills with Automations and Thrusters, we want to hear from you. You will support our customers worldwide, provide remote product guidance, and contribute to a knowledge pool that supports our field service team. Responsibilities:

1. Support, commission, and service Kongsberg Maritime products onboard vessels.
2. Manage service activities in Southeast Asia and maintain good client relationships.
3. Perform workshop testing and technical preparations.
4. Prepare and execute work, generate service reports, and update technical documents and databases.
5. Provide remote support to customers and backend support to the service team.
6. Assist sales with technical issues.
7. Handle administrative tasks related to pre- and post-service activities.
8. Undertake ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience:

1. Degree in Electronics, Instrumentation, or Mechatronic Engineering.
2. 3-5 years of experience with automation systems, control and propulsion, and distributed control systems.
3. Experience in the maritime industry is advantageous.
4. Excellent teamwork, communication, and self-motivation skills.
5. Meticulous and methodical in remote case handling.
6. Problem-solving skills and a customer-service mindset.
7. Knowledge of onboard systems and ability to work independently.
8. Willingness to travel on short notice.
