The Role
We are looking for a Field Service Engineer to be based in Johor and make an impact.
What will you do?
- Support serviceable Schneider equipment including but not limited to: electrical switchgear, protection relays, PLCs, HMIs, gateway, servers, communication, and networking in ENMCS & IMCS environments.
- Properly document, label, and return all defective parts utilized in the repair of equipment to the designated disposal/repair location.
- Develop innovative solutions to more complex technical problems that arise during start-up.
- Research, evaluate, and recommend new products or equipment upgrades that will meet customer needs.
- Assist Schneider Electric Service Partners in site visits, evaluating technical and professional performance.
- On customer sites, identify additional business opportunities outside the current scope of work and refer them to the sales team.
- As Technical Support Level 2, resolve technical issues arising by other field service representatives.
- Escalate to other technical support levels within the company when needed.
- Investigate remotely the origin of breakdowns and submit fixes (e.g., in a service bureau).
- Support Consulting Expert, Project Engineer and IOT Integration Digital Execution in all business and operational issues to ensure effective delivery and performance.
Qualifications
- Degree in Electrical & Communication Engineering with at least 5 years in a services onsite environment.
- Experience troubleshooting protection relays, switchgears, and power system products including low and medium voltage and transformers (33 kV).
- Project implementation, testing & commissioning experience is a must.
- ENMCS & IMCS system knowledge is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of PLC, HMI & SCADA is an added advantage.
- Strong communication & writing skills.
- Able to work 90% of the time onsite.
- Open to being based in Johor.
