Job summary

WAYON ENERGY is seeking a hands-on engineer for our Johor Data Center project. You will lead on-site operations, perform maintenance, inspection, commissioning and troubleshooting of equipment to ensure safe, reliable operation.

The role requires coordinating on-site workers and communicating with clients and owner representatives. You will collect and analyze quality and after-sales issues, collaborate with engineers from China headquarters, and help prepare technical reports and continuous

Qualifications

• Background in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or Electromechanical Engineering.
• Basic understanding of electrical systems and equipment.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and assist on-site troubleshooting.
• Strong communication and coordination with clients, on-site teams, and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• On-site operation, maintenance, inspection, commissioning and troubleshooting of equipment to ensure safe operation.
• Coordinate and supervise on-site workers and subcontractors to execute tasks per plan.
• Act as the on-site contact with clients and owner representatives for progress and after-sales matters.
• Collect and report equipment quality and after-sales issues; work with China HQ engineers to resolve problems.
• Support HQ with technical reports, fault records, and improvement suggestions.
• Assist with other on-site support tasks as required by the project.

Responsibilities

• On-site Operation & Maintenance;Responsible for daily operation, maintenance, inspection, commissioning, and troubleshooting of equipment at project sites to ensure stable and safe operation.
• On-site Workforce Coordination;Coordinate and supervise on-site workers and subcontracted personnel, arrange daily tasks, and monitor work quality to ensure project execution according to plan.
• Customer Communication & Coordination;Act as the key on-site contact person with clients and owner representatives. Maintain effective communication regarding project progress, operation status, and after-sales matters.
• After-sales & Quality Issue Handling;Collect, analyze, and report equipment quality and after-sales issues from site. Work closely with engineers from China headquarters to resolve technical, quality, and service-related problems.
• Technical Support & Documentation;Assist headquarters in preparing technical reports, fault records, issue summaries, and continuous improvement suggestions.
• Other On-site Support Tasks;Support other technical or coordination tasks as required by the project.

Qualifications

• Language Skills: Able to communicate in Chinese for work purposes, especially with engineers from China headquarters.
• Educational Background: Background in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, or related disciplines.
• Technical Knowledge: Basic understanding of electrical systems and equipment; able to read basic electrical drawings and assist in on-site troubleshooting.
• Communication & Coordination Skills: Good communication and coordination skills to work effectively with clients, on-site teams, and internal stakeholders.
• Work Attitude: Strong sense of responsibility, hands-on mindset, and ability to work in project-based and on-site environments.
