Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements if needed.
- Present menus, explain daily specials, and answer questions about ingredients or dietary restrictions (if needed).
- Take accurate food and beverage orders (if needed) and relay them promptly to the kitchen, pastry and bar.
- Deliver orders in a timely manner and check back with guests to ensure satisfaction.
- Handle guest requests and resolve any service issues promptly and professionally.
- Use the POS system to enter orders and process payments accurately.
- Assist guests with bill settlement, including splitting checks or handling tips.
- Ensure correct handling of cash and electronic transactions according to company policies.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned tables and service stations.
- Reset tables promptly after guests leave to prepare for the next seating.
- Restock condiments, utensils, napkins, and other service essentials.
- Work closely with all teams of kitchen, pastry, bar and service to provide smooth service flow.
- Participate in pre-shift briefings and communicate important information or updates.
- Support teammates during busy periods, helping wherever necessary.
- Follow all health, safety, and hygiene regulations consistently.
- Handle food and beverages responsibly, adhering to allergen and cross-contamination protocols.
- Report any maintenance or safety issues on the floor immediately.
- Keep dining areas, service stations, and entrance tidy and organized at all times.
- Empty trash bins and manage waste disposal in accordance with hygiene standards.
- Clean spills or messes immediately to maintain a safe environment for guests and staff.
- Assist in cleaning restrooms and other common areas as required.
- Avoid wastage (napkins, straws, cutlery, sauces).
- Only serve filtered water when requested (unless policy states otherwise).
- Handle broken items with proper reporting; reduce breakage with care.
- Reduce cost/loss by double-checking orders before submitting.
- Assist with special events, catering, or promotional activities as requested.
- Support the team with any ad hoc tasks and special assignments as needed to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction.
Requirements
- Education & Experience
- 1 – 2 years of experience in a restaurant server or service role.
- Must be available to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and night shifts, depending on operational needs.
- Friendly, approachable, and customer-focused attitude.
- Strong communication and listening skills.
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Team player with a positive attitude.
- Comfortable using POS and other digital ordering systems.
- Comfortable working in a busy, high-traffic front-of-house setting.
