Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Senior Digital Designer to own projects from concept to execution across websites, e-commerce, social media, and campaigns. You will translate briefs into compelling visuals and collaborate with clients and the internal team.

You will work with AI tools daily to accelerate exploration, maintain brand consistency, and mentor junior designers while delivering high-quality outcomes on time.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Design, Creative Multimedia, Visual Communication or a related field.
• Strong portfolio showing website and digital design work.
• Proficiency in graphic, multimedia, and web design.
• Experience with Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.

Responsibilities

• Create design or mockups for corporate and e-commerce sites from concept to handoff.

Senior Digital Designer – Job Scope

• Create design or mockups for Corporate and E-commerce websites, from initial concept to production-ready handoff.
• Develop engaging digital content including social media creatives, website banners, digital marketing materials, videos/ animations and GIFs for clients and the Company
• Translate creative briefs and client requirements into compelling visual concepts that align with the client's objectives, brand guidelines, target audience, and overall marketing strategy
• Conduct user research and apply UX/UI best practices to create intuitive, engaging, and user-friendly digital experiences
• Use AI tools daily — concepting, copy drafting, asset generation, rapid prototyping — to compress a week of exploration into a day
• Ensure consistency and attention to detail across typography, colour, composition, layout, imagery, and other visual elements across all projects
• Lead and oversee creative projects and campaigns, ensuring the visual direction, quality, timelines, and final deliverables meet the required standards
• Collaborate closely with Project Managers, developers, creatives, and clients throughout the design process, presenting concepts, participating in discussions and design reviews, and incorporating relevant feedback
• Participate in creative pitches and campaign proposals, contributing ideas, concepts, visual directions, and presentations to help win and develop new projects
• Provide guidance and mentorship to Junior Designers, including reviewing their work, providing constructive feedback, and helping to maintain consistency and quality across projects
• Support the development of corporate identity, brand guidelines, and other branding projects where required, either independently or in collaboration with the creative team
• Stay ahead of emerging design trends, technologies, tools, and techniques, and proactively explore new approaches to keep the Company's creative work fresh, innovative, and relevant
• Manage multiple projects and priorities effectively, ensuring work is delivered to the required quality standards and agreed timelines
• Carry out other design-related duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Company from time to time

Job Requirements:

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Design, Creative Multimedia, Visual Communication or a related field
• A strong portfolio showcasing a variety of successful website projects and design work
• Proficiency in Graphic Design, Multimedia Design, and Web Design
• Solid skills in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, XD)
• Understanding of the role design plays in social media and digital advertising
• Confident in your creative work and comfortable in presenting your proposals
• Excellent creative thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Proactive. You’re all about taking the first step and exploring new solutions
• Collaborative. Listening, written, and verbal communication is something you’re comfortable with
• Curious. You’ve got an insatiable wonder for all things creative and technology and where the two merge
• We prefer at least 4 years of working experience, but candidates with informal alternatives (such as side projects) and portfolios showcasing this are welcome to apply!
