Senior Warehouse & Logistics Executive

The Senior Warehouse & Logistics Executive is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the daily operations of the warehouse and logistics functions. This includes inventory control, material handling, shipping/receiving, and transportation coordination. The role ensures efficient warehouse processes, timely delivery, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards while supporting production and customer service needs.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse Management

Supervise and coordinate all warehouse activities including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch.

Ensure accurate inventory levels through cycle counts, stock reconciliation, and physical audits.

Optimize warehouse layout for efficient material flow and space utilization.

Implement 5S, Lean practices, and continuous improvement initiatives in the warehouse.

Logistics & Distribution

Manage and track local and international shipments (inbound and outbound).

Coordinate with transporters, freight forwarders, and customs agents.

Plan and schedule deliveries based on production and customer requirements.

Ensure timely dispatch and delivery of goods in line with SLAs.

Documentation & System Management

Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for inventory, shipments, receipts, and returns.

Use ERP/WMS systems to manage warehouse transactions and generate reports.

Ensure compliance with company policies, ISO standards, and legal requirements (e.g., customs, transport laws).

Supervise warehouse assistants, forklift operators, and logistics staff.

Conduct training on safety, SOPs, and equipment handling.

Monitor team performance and ensure adherence to KPIs.

Health, Safety & Compliance

Enforce safety standards and ensure proper use of PPE and equipment.

Conduct risk assessments and safety drills in coordination with the HSE team.

Ensure secure storage and proper labeling of hazardous and sensitive materials.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Education - Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field

Experience - Minimum 4–6 years in warehouse/logistics roles, preferably in a manufacturing or FMCG setting

Technical Skills - Proficient in WMS/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), MS Excel, barcode/RFID systems

Knowledge - Understanding of Incoterms, import/export regulations, warehouse layout planning, and ISO 22000

Soft Skills - Strong leadership, problem-solving, time management, and communication skills

Certifications (optional) - Forklift license, Lean Six Sigma, or logistics certifications (e.g., APICS, CILT) willbeadvantage
