The video editor is responsible for assembling recorded raw material into a finished product suitable for broadcasting or distribution. This includes selecting the most effective shots, arranging them in a logical sequence, and incorporating audio elements to produce high-quality videos. It is very much a people-oriented job, involving development of high-level creative concepts for design projects including branding, animations, and infographics for video, print and social media outlets.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead the video editing team, providing guidance and training to new members.
- Design and execute high-quality video editing projects, ensuring they meet client requirements and company standards.
- Act as the driver for video projects, communicate with clients, understand their needs, and provide professional advice.
- Have an in-depth understanding of the video production process, optimize workflows, and improve team efficiency.
- Proficient in video editing software and tools, capable of solving complex editing problems and technical challenges.
- Creatively use animation and graphic design to add visual appeal to video content.
- Possess solid knowledge of artificial intelligence and apply AI technology to video editing and post-production.
- Manage video projects, ensuring timely delivery within budget.
- Keep abreast of industry trends and innovative technologies, driving continuous progress and development within the team.
- Play a leadership role within the team, motivate collaboration among members, and achieve team goals together.
Job Requirements
- Candidate must possess at least Diploma / bachelor’s degree / Higher Graduate, in related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years related professional experience in a visual design, video editing experience and production environment.
- Thorough knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (mainly Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator). In addition to an understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with best practices for graphics and video content on social media platforms (YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram).
- A demonstrated working knowledge of experience design, brand development, and creative process.
- Good photography and videography skill will be appreciated.
