Job summary

NV5 Limited in Malaysia seeks an experienced Senior/Testing & Commissioning Engineer to join our team in Johor Bahru or Kuala Lumpur, focusing on the flawless commissioning of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems across diverse construction projects.

The ideal candidate holds a Diploma or Engineering degree and relevant certifications, with deep building services knowledge and fluent English, ready to mentor others and drive training modules.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Engineering.
• Industry-specific certifications (BCxP, CDCP, CTDC, UTI ATD, LEED AP, NEBB).
• Further engineering qualifications (Masters, Chartered Engineer, PE).
• Deep technical knowledge in at least one building services engineering discipline.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Attend and witness onsite testing and factory testing.
• Write test reports and log issues.
• Review and develop test method statements, scripts and checklists.
• Review test reports and ensure compliance with project standards.
• Support project team members, step in to help at peak periods, step up to cover others on leave.
• Demonstrate a strong learning mindset and openness to feedback.
• Consistently improve technical competency through site exposure and training.
• Coach junior staff on Cx process, technical topics and soft skills.
• Develop and conduct training modules for NV5 Academy.

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior/Testing & Commissioning Engineer to join our Malaysia team in Johor Bahru or Kuala Lumpur. The ideal candidate will possess the necessary technical skills and expertise to ensure the flawless commissioning of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in various construction projects.

Role & Responsibilities

Attend and witness onsite testing and factory testing.

Write test reports and log issues.

Review and develop test method statements, scripts and checklists.
