Job summary

WD is seeking an experienced Maintenance/Test Equipment Technician in Penang, Malaysia. The role requires setting up, troubleshooting, and recovering from complex test equipment downtime, while leading Continuous Improvement projects to boost equipment performance and reduce downtime.

You will conduct root-cause analyses and ensure ISO and safety compliance in a high-pressure manufacturing environment. Ideal candidates have 4–5 years in manufacturing maintenance, strong electrical/mechanical

Qualifications

• Diploma or Advanced/Higher/Graduate in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or related field).
• 4-5 years’ experience in manufacturing, preferably in maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.

Responsibilities

• Set up, troubleshoot, and recover complex downtime issues for test equipment with minimal supervision.
• Lead Continuous Improvement Projects to improve equipment performance and reduce downtime.
• Troubleshoot test equipment yield issues to maintain product quality and stability.
• Conduct root-cause analyses for quality incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Perform equipment setup, calibration, and optimization for production and engineering needs.
• Monitor KPIVs using OEE, maintenance logs, and digital PM tools to identify trends.
• Mentor technicians and provide training; ensure ISO and safety compliance.
