Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Senior Teradata System Analyst with 9+ years of experience to support the Financial Regulatory Reporting (FRR) domain. You will focus on the Global Data Warehouse (GDW) and Data Marts, analysing requirements and delivering scalable data solutions for banking and financial services environments.

The role requires strong ETL, SQL, and data modelling skills, with hands-on experience across Cloudera Hadoop, Teradata, Informatica, Power BI, and Oracle SQL Developer.

Qualifications

• More than 9+ years of experience as a System Analyst in enterprise data warehouse or regulatory reporting environments.
• Strong experience supporting Global Data Warehouse (GDW) and Data Marts.
• Hands-on experience with Cloudera Hadoop Distribution (6.x), Teradata IntelliFlex, AS400, Informatica Data Integration Suite (BDM, IDQ, IDL), Microsoft Business Intelligence, Qlik Sense, SAS, Microsoft R, and Experian PowerCurve.

Responsibilities

• Analyse, document, and validate business and system requirements for FRR initiatives.
• Support the design, enhancement, and maintenance of GDW and Data Marts.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, data architects, developers, and project teams to deliver scalable data solutions.
• Perform data analysis, data mapping, impact assessments, and gap analysis for regulatory reporting requirements.
• Coordinate system integration, UAT, and production implementation activities.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, consistency, and accuracy across enterprise data platforms.
• Investigate production issues, perform root cause analysis, and support timely resolution of incidents.
• Prepare and maintain functional specifications, technical documentation, and data flow documentation.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure compliance with enterprise architecture, data governance, and regulatory standards.
• Participate in release planning, change management, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in enterprise data warehousing, regulatory reporting, data analysis, ETL, big data platforms, and database technologies. The role involves analysing business and system requirements, supporting the design and enhancement of data solutions, performing data mapping and impact assessments, and collaborating with business stakeholders, data architects, developers, and project teams to deliver scalable and reliable data platforms. Experience working within banking, financial services, or regulatory reporting environments is highly preferred.

Required Skills:

• More than 9+ years of experience as a System Analyst in enterprise data warehouse or regulatory reporting environments.
• Strong experience supporting Global Data Warehouse (GDW) and Data Marts.
• Hands-on experience with Cloudera Hadoop Distribution (6.x), Teradata IntelliFlex, AS400, Informatica Data Integration Suite (BDM, IDQ, IDL), Microsoft Business Intelligence, Qlik Sense, SAS, Microsoft R, and Experian PowerCurve.
• Strong database knowledge in AS400 DB2, Teradata, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and PostgreSQL.
• Strong proficiency in AS400 and Teradata, including TD Studio, IFX, MDM, FSLDM/GCFR, and ViewPoint.
• Experience with Oracle SQL Developer, Spark, Hive, Impala, Kafka, and Cloudera Data Science Workbench.
• Experience with JIRA, Jenkins, Bitbucket, SonarQube, QuerySurge, Microsoft Power BI, Business Objects, PuTTY, Aldon, and Control-M.
• Strong SQL, data analysis, and data modelling skills.
• Strong understanding of enterprise data warehousing, ETL, data integration, and data processing.
• Experience working within banking, financial services, or regulatory reporting environments.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management, communication, and documentation skills.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Experience with financial regulatory reporting frameworks and banking compliance requirements.
• Knowledge of enterprise data governance, metadata management, and data lineage.
• Experience with Agile, Scrum, or DevOps delivery methodologies.
