A leading oil and gas company in Malaysia is looking for a Senior Technical Service Assistant. The candidate will oversee plant equipment maintenance, coordinate daily operations, and ensure compliance with safety standards. Candidates must have a background in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering and possess relevant certifications. This role demands proficiency in LPG handling and a commitment to teamwork. To schedule and implement M&R of all plant equipment and operating systems to ensure uninterrupted breakdowns.
Coordinate work tasks relating to shut down, log-out with other sections to ensure continual operations and strengthen teamwork spirit.
Responsible for effective and efficient use of spare parts and other services involved in the job. To be responsible for spare parts and maintenance tools stock management.
To supervise and train all technicians (which includes daily co-ordination on maintenance work, completion of preventive maintenance program schedule and checklist, etc).
Responsible for purchasing M&R items.
To be registered as plant chargeman as required by Suruhanjaya Tenaga.
To monitor and oversee the daily platform and cylinder filling process activities, including plant daily opening and closing, lorry turnaround, cylinders counting, cylinders loading and unloading, cylinders RQ & RC selection, cylinders washing, filling, underweight and overweight checks, leakage inspections, and capping.
To ensure all cylinders issued comply with MS 830 and BHP QC standards as set in plant operating procedures.
Responsible for random sampling of filled cylinders as part of process control assurance per BHP Process Assurance guidelines.
To coordinate with CSU Dispatcher, Contractor Supervisor, and Head of Security for effective control of daily cylinder receiving and issuing.
To liaise with shipping agents and surveyors regarding ship berthing lay-can, cargo quality, and configuration within specified parameters.
To oversee the receipt of bulk LPG into storage spheres, coordinating with relevant parties for timely and safe operations.
To monitor ullage during shipment receipt, confirm availability, and coordinate with ship agents, surveyors, and port authorities.
To ensure all marine procedures are completed before product transfer, and to prepare terminal outturn reports upon completion.
To manage daily plant opening, including tank level measurement, valve line-up, and manpower allocation.
To oversee bulk tanker loading and discharging operations.
To submit timely reports and conduct periodic inspections of pipelines and equipment at the jetty area.
To update SOPs as per latest industry standards and regulations.
To enforce all plant operation procedures and standards, including HSSE requirements and permit systems.
To assist in emergency responses and participate in fire and first aid teams.
Certificated in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
Possess A4 certificate issued by Suruhanjaya Tenaga Malaysia; AO certificate with a minimum of 5 years M&E experience considered.
Familiar with Oil and Gas HSE policies, procedures, and environment.
Basic technical knowledge of LPG handling, equipment, valves, systems, and firefighting equipment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Good team player capable of working with all levels.
Able to work under tight schedules and pressure.
Self-motivated with a willingness to learn.
Ability to interpret technical manuals and flowcharts.
Excellent interpersonal skills to build confidence and trust.
