About the role

The Senior Tax Accountant will be responsible for managing the corporate tax compliance function for Kerry entities across the APAC region. This role involves close coordination with regional entities to support internal reporting requirements, ensuring the accuracy of tax filings and statutory disclosures, and managing interactions with tax authorities.


Reporting to : Tax Manager

Key responsibilities
  • Manage the corporate tax compliance function for Kerry entities within the APAC region
  • Coordinate and liaise with Kerry entities on their internal tax reporting matters
  • Review tax returns and tax-related disclosures in the statutory financial statements of APAC entities
  • Manage revenue audits, working closely with both Kerry entities and the Head Office throughout the process
  • Support the implementation of strategic tax planning initiatives across the region
  • Provide assistance in mergers and acquisition (M&A) activities within the region
Qualifications and skills
  • In-depth knowledge of Malaysian taxation; experience in overseas tax jurisdictions will be a strong advantage
  • Proven experience in tax advisory
  • Familiarity with transfer pricing rules and preparation of documentation is preferred
  • Strong accounting foundation
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, with a professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in tax-related roles
  • Excellent proficiency in written and spoken English, with strong communication, report writing, and computer literacy
  • Proactive, resourceful, and innovative, with strong attention to detail
  • Able to work well both independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Energetic and enthusiastic, with a positive and solutions-oriented mindset
