Job summary

Ryt Bank is seeking a Senior System Administrator to lead IT infrastructure, end-user computing, and security initiatives in Malaysia. The role focuses on stabilising systems, enabling secure access, and driving technology improvements across the organization.

You will manage endpoints, IAM, security controls, and IT operations while mentoring junior staff and delivering strategic projects. The position emphasizes collaboration with security teams and service owners.

Qualifications

• 5–8+ years of experience as a System Administrator or similar senior role.
• Strong expertise in macOS, Windows, and enterprise endpoint management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and Atlassian tools.
• Deep understanding of IAM concepts and security frameworks.
• Strong networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs).
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to lead initiatives and mentor team members.

Responsibilities

• Infrastructure, Endpoint & Application Management: Lead administration and optimization of macOS and Windows endpoints across the enterprise. Oversee deployment automation, patch management, and systems hardening.
• Identity & Access Management (IAM): Own IAM strategy, policies, and standards. Lead administration of Microsoft Entra ID including SSO, SCIM provisioning, MFA, and Conditional Access.
• IT Security & Compliance: Manage endpoint security platforms including Windows Defender. Oversee email and collaboration security including phishing protection.
• End-User Support & Office Technology Leadership: Provide Tier 3 escalation for complex issues. Oversee meeting room systems, AV solutions, and conferencing technology.
• Procurement, Asset & Vendor Management: Lead IT procurement strategy and manage SaaS/hardware renewals. Maintain accurate IT asset inventories.
• IT Operations & Project Delivery: Own and enhance onboarding/offboarding workflows. Create and maintain IT documentation, SOPs, and knowledge bases.

About the Role: Ryt Bank is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Senior System Administrator to lead, manage, and evolve our IT infrastructure and end-user computing environment. This senior role is responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and performance of our systems while driving operational excellence and continuous improvement across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Infrastructure, Endpoint & Application Management: Lead administration and optimization of macOS and Windows endpoints across the enterprise. Oversee deployment automation, patch management, and systems hardening. Manage and improve Microsoft 365 services (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive). Oversee governance and administration of the Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence, JSM). Evaluate and introduce tools and technologies to enhance scalability and reliability.
• Identity & Access Management (IAM): Own IAM strategy, policies, and standards. Lead administration of Microsoft Entra ID including SSO, SCIM provisioning, MFA, and Conditional Access. Implement RBAC and conduct periodic access reviews. Strengthen identity security posture based on zero-trust principles.
• IT Security & Compliance: Manage endpoint security platforms including Windows Defender. Oversee email and collaboration security including phishing protection. Ensure network security including firewall policies, segmentation, and VPN access. Conduct regular security audits and support compliance efforts. Partner with security teams on incident investigations.
• End-User Support & Office Technology Leadership: Provide Tier 3 escalation for complex issues. Oversee meeting room systems, AV solutions, and conferencing technology. Lead design and troubleshooting of office network infrastructure. Mentor junior IT staff and establish best-practice support processes.
• Procurement, Asset & Vendor Management: Lead IT procurement strategy and manage SaaS/hardware renewals. Maintain accurate IT asset inventories. Manage vendor relationships and negotiate agreements.
• IT Operations & Project Delivery: Own and enhance onboarding/offboarding workflows. Create and maintain IT documentation, SOPs, and knowledge bases. Lead IT projects, upgrades, and technology rollouts. Identify automation opportunities to improve operational efficiency.

Qualifications & Skills

• 5–8+ years of experience as a System Administrator or similar senior role.
• Strong expertise in macOS, Windows, and enterprise endpoint management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and Atlassian tools.
• Deep understanding of IAM concepts and security frameworks.
