A leading company in the food industry is looking for a Supply Chain Planner to oversee planning functions, ensuring alignment of supply with production schedules. The role involves developing forecasts, managing inventory, and improving processes through methodologies like Lean and Six Sigma.
Develop and maintain accurate forecasts using sales, marketing input, and historical data.
Translate demand forecasts into actionable supply plans aligned with production schedules.
Oversee raw material and packaging material planning for regular and ad-hoc production needs.
Define inventory policies to balance stock availability and inventory turnover.
Monitor inventory planning system accuracy and ensure timely updates.
Evaluate internal and supplier capacity to ensure production feasibility.
Coordinate closely with production planning to align materials and capacity readiness.
Share forecasts and requirements with suppliers to improve visibility and reduce lead time variability.
Lead or support the Sales & Operations process across departments.
Conduct simulations and scenario planning to manage supply risks and disruptions.
Maintain accurate planning data (e.g., BOMs, lead times, material master) in systems.
Ensure planning practices comply with regulatory, quality, and audit requirements.
Drive process improvements using Lean, Six Sigma, or other methodologies.
Support supply chain strategy development aligned with company goals.
Prepare supply chain planning reports and cost/performance analyses.
Handle any ad-hoc tasks related to supply chain coordination as needed.
Requirements :
Minimum Degree in Logistics/Supply Chain/ Business or related field.
3-5 years of relevant experience in a similar role is preferable.
Procurement skills, including knowledge of demand forecasting and inventory optimisation.
Good communication, analytical and interpersonal skills.
Able to work in a team and have good leadership skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
