Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer located in Port Tanjung Pelepas, Gelang Patah, Johor.

What a typical day looks like

1. Supplier Selection: Select suitable suppliers through joint efforts of sourcing, considering quality, capability, pricing, delivery, environmental and social regulations, against customer requirements.
2. Supplier Qualification: Implement new supplier qualification processes including capability matching, risk assessment, self-assessment, onsite audits, and database management.
3. VEA (Value-Added Engineering Activity): Understand customer drawings and specifications to provide feedback and proposals for process or product optimization.
4. Material (Component) Qualification: Conduct PPAP activities such as FAI, Material Certificates, Control Plans, FMEA, MSA, RoHS compliance, Reliability Tests, COC, etc.
5. Pilot Run Tracking: Monitor quality performance of new parts during pilot phase, drive corrective actions, and ensure smooth transition to mass production.
6. Hot Issue Solution and Troubleshooting: Act as SME to resolve supplier quality issues.
7. Maintenance Audit: Assist in annual supplier audits.
8. Supplier CIP: Help suppliers use quality tools to improve processes and products.
9. ECO/ECN/SCR Handling: Manage change requests from customers, ensuring PPAP/FAI compliance before production.
10. Work closely with suppliers to improve quality components, using manufacturing process knowledge.
11. Perform quality audits to ensure compliance with ISO and regulatory standards.
12. Build and maintain strong relationships with purchasing and suppliers.
13. Assist in supplier selection, development, and approval processes.
14. Assess effectiveness of process control plans and measures.
15. Use statistical techniques for process improvement and validation.
16. Guide process capability studies and root cause analyses.
17. Develop procedures for new or improved supplier processes.
18. Support inspection activities, including statistical research and measurement system analysis.
19. Participate in Material Review Board resolutions.
20. Contribute to supplier quality system improvement plans and change requests.
21. Conduct supplier quality audits and implement corrective actions.
22. Monitor non-conformance and key performance indicators.
23. Oversee dock-to-stock activities and component qualification.
24. Guide project teams on supplier qualifications and risk management.
25. Operate related equipment safely and skillfully.
26. Rate and track supplier performance, driving continuous improvement.
27. Establish and maintain supplier management tools and processes.

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

• Degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.
