Job summary

TechnipFMC plc in Malaysia seeks an experienced Quality Lead to drive supplier performance, ensure QHSE and on-time delivery, and act as a SQ SME in targeted disciplines.

You will update quality documents, standardize processes, develop reports in SAP, analyze data trends, and mentor a team of Quality Engineers while leading continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Oil and Gas industry.
• BS or MS in engineering/technical or equivalent.
• ASQ CQE Certification or equivalent.
• Foundational quality principles: Deming, Juran, Crosby.
• Proficient with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and SAP.
• Ability to perform data/statistical analysis and build reports to present trends.
• Strong interpersonal, presentation and training skills.
• Read/interpret technical drawings and specifications; suggest changes to quality requirements.
• Lead and mentor Quality Engineers; manage improvement teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead suppliers to achieve quality, OTD, and QHSE goals.
• Update quality documents when specs change; standardize processes.
• Develop and refine reports; improve SAP reporting and data visibility.
• Perform internal or external quality audits when required.

Job Purpose

Responsible to lead suppliers to achieve expected supply chain performance (QHSE and OTD) to create customer success. This role also has a secondary role to act as a SQ SME to qualify and develop supplier in specific disciplines.

Job Description

• Actively participates and contributes to the quality control and quality assurance efforts for the Business. Executes quality into planning and actions.
• Ensures that related Quality documents are updated when API & Engineering specifications and applicable processes are revised. Assists in the standardization of quality process and systems within the Division.
• Proactively identifies areas to enable the organization’s shift toward process intervention. Assists in the implementation and effective deployment of process and procedure changes
• Works with Quality System and other internal organizational functions to develop and/or refine existing reports to make data management easier, give clear visibility to performance trends, and make data access easier. Works to continually improve the reporting capabilities of SAP.
• Across the data systems (NCR, FNCRs, FTRs) – identifies trends and performance gaps. Monitors transactions in SAP for QNs and SNs ensuring actions are timely and accurate. Provides continuous improvement feedback to the organization to improve execution/throughput and reduce PONC.
• Performs analysis and recommends improvements to the current methods for analyzing data. Develops new reports and modifies existing reports as needed. Establishes trend lines /control limits and process performance on various data reports both internal and external (both Customer and Supplier)
• Performs and may lead internal or external quality audits.
• Works with multiple disciplines to develop standard reports on quality functions such as Field Performance (also ties with Reliability), and other related internal quality measures.
• Proactively identifies areas and works within a global environment to enable standardization
• Assists in the continuous improvement of the quality systems

You are meant for this job if:

• Minimum 5 years in Oil and Gas industry
• BS or MS in engineering/technical or equivalent recognition in a technical or quality field
• ASQ CQE Certification or equivalent required
• Fundamental understanding of foundational quality principles such as: Deming, Juran, and Crosby
• Possess practical PC skills to include experience and use of Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc) and SAP
• Ability to perform data/statistical analysis and build reports to present trends
• Must have exceptional interpersonal skills, presentation/communication skills and ability to perform training
• Able to teach principles of the design and development processes - ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications and recommend changes to existing design quality requirements.
• Ablity to operate at a high level within the organization, manage complex scope of responsibility, mentor Quality Engineers, lead improvement/task teams, and provide organizational direction for respective subject matter.
• Practical experience with Measurement and Test Equipment (micrometers, calipers, CMMs, etc.)
• Ability to lead continuous improvement which includes RCA/Corrective Action and Risk Analysis/Preventive Action
• Demonstrated ability to lead and drive process improvements
• Ability to teach and apply Lean and Six Sigma throughout within an organization.
• Experience with and knowledge of between industry/regulatory standards, customer requirements.
• High level of expertise with core manufacturing processes such as; forging, fabrication, machining, blasting and painting, coating and welding
• High level of knowledge on industry standard non-destructive testing such as liquid penetrant, magnetic particle, X-ray, UT, and pressure testing (gas/hydro)
• Certified Auditor from an recognized certification institution (ex IRCA) or equivalent training course
• Demonstrated ability to lead a team of Quality Engineers and provide direction to the business
• Must be innovative and able to make business decisions
