Job summary

AMD's Graphics Platform validation team in Penang, Malaysia, seeks a senior engineer to validate graphics platforms across post-silicon stages, coordinating with firmware, software, and hardware teams to drive validation milestones.

You will develop test plans, create procedures, and triage complex system-level issues, leading cross-functional discussions and contributing to product bring-up for AMD's next-generation GPUs.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in PC, laptop, graphics, motherboard, server test and debug.
• Excellent English communication (oral and written).
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Lead technical discussions across functions and drive triage.

Responsibilities

• Engaged in AMD dGPU's post-silicon phases, Driving to review internal & customer design, develop validation strategies and test plan for AMD reference or customer platform designs
• Create test procedures and generate technical documents as needed.
• Execute Post-Si Integration validation; Track/Report validation status.
• Triage/debug system level issue with cross function engineering teams (Firmware, SW, diag, board design), and root cause the issue
• Support new GPU product bring-up and debug issues

The Role

AMD Graphics Platform validation team is part of Graphics systems and customer engineering , and is responsible to validate platforms for AMD graphics products . You will be working with cross function teams globally to validate graphics platforms , triage/debug issues , and drive validation's deliverables to hit platform validation milestones .

The Person

• 10+ year hands-on industry experience in PC , laptop , Graphics , mother boards , server product test and issue debug .
• Excellent communication skills including English ability in oral and written
• Be able to work both independently and in a team .
• Leading technical discussion with multiple function teams and drive issue's triage and debug .

Key Responsibilities

Preferred Experience

• Solid knowledge of kinds of PC Hardware elements (CPU, GPU chipset, I/O devices, etc), Software (BIOS, Drivers, Operating System) and PC architecture.
• Technical experience in electrical hardware design , ASIC platform's test and debug , and related tools , defect tracking and revision control .
• Graphics experience is a plus
• Project management skill preferred

Academic Credentials

• Bachelor +, Sc. or above in EE or CS related Engineering
