We are seeking an experienced and driven Reliability Engineer to lead and oversee the electrical test and automation functions within the reliability lab. This role is responsible for managing resources, equipment capability planning, continuous improvement initiatives, and the development of engineering talent. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in semiconductor reliability testing, deep knowledge of test standards and equipment, and proven leadership in managing people, processes, and suppliers.
Job Description
In your new role you will:
- Systematic review, plan and manage the resources, machine capacity & capability (equipment roadmap) to meet customer/ reliability standard requirements/ products and/or package / wafer technologies.
- Drives innovation to improve the effectiveness & efficiency of reliability qualification processes and methodology.
- Provide and install the necessary resources, machine capacity and technical capability.
- Maintenance/ repair/ modification/ optimization/ buy-off Automatic Test Equipment, Load/DUT boards, adaptor & socket, handler and temperature conditioning system.
- Drives Continuous improvement/ Failure Prevention within Engineering team. Proactively share Best Practice within the reliability labs
- Owner of work instruction, machine operating instruction and 8D report for HomeMade failure on technical issues.
- Provide and install the necessary resources and technical capability.
- Maintain and develop existing and new suppliers.
- Lead the engineering automation team and provide guidance & coaching, set clear direction, hold people accountable, monitor tasks for accomplishment of team. People development & competency assessment.
Your Profile
You are best equipped for this task if you have:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical / Electronics, Semiconductor Technology, Microelectronics or equivalent) / Applied Science
- More than 7 years of experience in related field (experience in reliability test methodology & concepts, reference standards and working principle of stress & test equipment will be an added advantage).
- Knowledge on reliability reference standards, reliability electrical test methodologies & concepts and state-of-the-art test methods / equipment.
- Knowledge on semiconductor physics, packaging technology, wafer technologies and the interpretation of typical failure mechanism in semiconductor devices which can be influenced by the change of materials / processes or by the stress applied.
- Knowledge of quality systems, audits, certifications, methods, procedures and tools.
- Managerial role but need to be respected technical / logistical expert in Lab Engineering.
- Cooperates with relevant experts (e.g. Product / Technology development, Suppliers, Subject Matter experts) to solve technical problems.
- Supplier development in terms of reliability stress solutions / equipment and second source.
- Leadership skills and People Development/Competency.
