Job description

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Staff Specialist to join our cross-site Backend Industry 4.0 team as a Senior Staff Specialist Automation Real Time Dispatch. The successful candidate will play a key role in leading the design, development, and implementation of real-time dispatch automation solutions for material handling systems, driving operational efficiency and contributing to the evolution of our Industry 4.0 initiatives across our backend sites. Job Description

In your new role you will:

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of real-time dispatch automation solutions using RTD software and Material Control Systems (MCS) to enhance material handling efficiency, ensuring alignment with business objectives and Industry 4.0 initiatives.
  • Collaborate with operations teams to understand material flow and identify opportunities for automation and improvement, providing technical guidance and expertise.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation for automation systems, including design specifications, user manuals, and training materials, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain technical roadmaps for automation systems, aligning strategies with business objectives and Industry 4.0 initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies regarding automation and data security, providing guidance and oversight to junior team members.
  • Mentor and coach junior engineers, providing technical guidance and expertise to support their development and growth.

Your Profile

You are best equipped for this task if you have:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in semiconductor automation, with a focus on real-time dispatch systems, material handling automation, and Industry 4.0 technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with semiconductor automation, including material handling, Material Control Systems (MCS), material identification, and storage systems, with a proven track record of leading automation projects and teams.
  • Applied Smart Factory's RTD software or similar real-time dispatch systems, experience in factory automation solution design, semiconductor manufacturing processes, and systems, with expertise in programming languages such as Python or C++.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage teams, with experience in resource allocation, budget planning, and project management.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and develop creative solutions, and provide technical guidance and expertise to junior team members.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, and provide leadership and guidance to junior team members.
  • In-depth understanding of Industry 4.0 technologies, such as IoT, AI, and machine learning, with experience in implementing and integrating these technologies in automation solutions.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and methodologies, factory physics, and operating curve management, with experience in applying these principles to optimize automation systems and processes.
