Job Description: Join the winning team! Lattice is looking for a motivated and experienced Security Solution Enablement Engineer to drive customer adoption and deployment of Lattice security and Root-of-Trust (RoT) solutions. As part of the Security Solution Enablement team, you will play a key role in bridging customers, Field Applications Engineering and Lattice's internal product and engineering teams. You will lead solution enablement activities, address complex technical challenges, develop reference solutions and technical collateral, and help translate customer requirements into improvements for future products and solutions. This role requires strong technical knowledge across FPGA, embedded software and security, combined with excellent problem-solving, communication and technical leadership skills. You will work closely with Marketing, Engineering, RoT Solution Development, Technical Support and Field Applications Engineering teams to drive successful deployment and adoption of Lattice security solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead solution enablement activities for Lattice FPGA-based security and Root-of-Trust solutions, from evaluation and design-in through integration and deployment.
  • Serve as a technical lead for complex customer security applications and provide guidance on solution architecture, integration and implementation.
  • Define and develop high-quality solution enablement collateral, including user guides, application notes, reference designs, programming examples and technical documentation.
  • Lead the development of reference solutions demonstrating key security capabilities and representative customer use cases.
  • Drive investigation and resolution of complex customer issues across FPGA logic, embedded firmware, security configuration and system integration.
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing, Engineering, RoT Solution Development, Technical Support and Field Applications Engineering teams to translate customer requirements and field experience into actionable product and solution improvements.
  • Provide technical feedback and influence requirements for future security features, devices and enablement solutions based on customer use cases.
  • Develop and deliver technical training, workshops and knowledge-transfer sessions for Technical Support, Field Applications Engineers and customers.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to other engineers on FPGA security applications, solution enablement and troubleshooting methodologies.
  • Support new product and solution introduction by ensuring customer-facing collateral, reference solutions and technical enablement are ready for deployment.
Specific Job Skill Requirements:
  • Strong knowledge of security fundamentals, including authentication, encryption, digital signatures, hashing, key management and secure boot.
  • Good understanding of cryptographic technologies and security architectures, including Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), hardware Root-of-Trust and Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC).
  • Strong hands-on experience with FPGA architecture, configuration and FPGA development flows.
  • Working knowledge of RTL design and debugging using Verilog and/or VHDL.
  • Strong programming experience in C and C++, particularly for embedded firmware development.
  • Experience integrating embedded processors or microcontrollers with programmable logic and security functions.
  • Experience with common hardware and system interfaces such as JTAG, SPI, I²C and UART.
  • Strong hardware, FPGA and embedded firmware debugging skills.
  • Experience developing production-quality technical documentation, reference designs or customer-facing application examples.
  • Experience supporting complex customer designs and translating customer requirements into technical solutions.
  • Previous experience with hardware security, secure embedded systems, Root-of-Trust or platform security is highly desirable.
General Requirements:
  • BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
  • 10+ years of relevant industry experience in FPGA applications, embedded systems, security applications or related customer-facing technical roles.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently lead complex technical engagements and drive issues to resolution across multiple engineering disciplines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot across hardware, FPGA logic, embedded software and security.
  • Outstanding written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex security concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proven ability to develop high-quality technical collateral and deliver effective technical presentations and training.
  • Strong customer orientation with the ability to balance immediate customer requirements with longer-term product and solution objectives.
  • Ability to lead effectively across cross-functional and geographically distributed teams without direct reporting authority.
  • Experience participating in product or solution development from requirements and implementation through documentation, market release and solution enablement.
