A leading semiconductor company in Malacca is looking for a skilled process developer to enhance product quality and efficiency. Candidates should possess a Master's or Bachelor's in Engineering and have at least 8 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing, particularly in SMT. The role includes developing processes, technical handover, and supporting builds, ensuring innovation and quality in semiconductor solutions.

Job description

Identify and develop new processes for product/package, and implement process controls to ensure high quality and reproducibility of products/packages.

Job Description

In this role, you will:

  1. Perform process development activities, including process parameter scouting, optimization, verification, and process freeze, to meet project targets regarding timeline, quality, cost, completeness, and manufacturability.
  2. Responsible for technical handover and knowledge transfer to operations.
  3. Support prototype and development sample builds.
  4. Generate and update relevant documents, such as process specifications, PFMEA, DFMEA, OJTI, T32, PDR.
  5. Provide inputs for document updates and ensure their accuracy, including process records, assembly design rules, process roadmaps, failure catalogues, control plans, and maintenance checklists for development projects.
  6. Liaise with suppliers for continuous improvement and perform verification and qualification activities for new tooling, machines, and materials in development projects.

Your Profile

You are well-suited for this role if you have:

  • Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • At least 8 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing, preferably in SMT.
  • Strong hands-on knowledge and skills in assembly processes.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of materials science and chemical engineering.
  • Experience with analytical equipment.
