Job description

As a Senior Staff Product Engineer, you will play a key role in developing and launching new sensor products for automotive, industrial, and/or consumer applications. You will collaborate with a diverse, international team of design, concept, test, verification, application, and manufacturing engineers to ensure products meet customer requirements, are cost-effective, and can be efficiently manufactured. Additionally, you will share your technical expertise and passion for product development by mentoring and training junior colleagues, helping to grow our team's capabilities and drive success.

Job Description

1. Closely collaborate with production, test engineering, and design to identify possible improvements of the product, test program, and fabrication process during development and production ramp-up.
2. Train and mentor junior colleagues in product engineering.
3. Ensure manufacturability of new products by analyzing yield, test coverage, and production stability. Drive the implementation of Design for Manufacturing (DfM) approaches and generate new ideas to guarantee seamless and cost-efficient production of our sensors.
4. Strive for cost-effective sensors by defining ambitious yield roadmaps and challenging design, technology development, and test engineering. Ramp-up new products according to plans.
5. Lead root cause analysis efforts to identify and address deviations from production targets, focusing on quality, performance, and cost discrepancies, and drive corrective actions for timely resolution.
6. Drive the definition of process window lots and analyze test data in collaboration with design and technology development.
7. Support product qualification and test concept development. Drive test limit definition.
8. Define and execute safe launch measures.

Your Profile

1. PhD / Masters / Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Electronics / Microelectronics / Applied Physics or similar field.
2. At least 5 years’ experience in semiconductor / post-silicon component verification/validation and/or device testing of mixed signal / sensor circuits or Fab product engineering.
3. Hands-on experience with data analysis, statistical methods, and database handling.
4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
5. Solid knowledge of IC manufacturing and production flow, including processing, assembly, and testing.
6. Knowledge of semiconductor devices, applications, and physics; ideally semiconductor sensor knowledge.
7. Programming skills in R, Python, and experience with statistical tools are preferred.
8. Experience with design, assembly, testing, and debugging of semiconductor sensors is desirable.
9. Good engineering analysis, problem solving, and solution-finding skills. Enthusiasm for challenges as growth opportunities.
10. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
