Job description

In your new role you will:

  1. Be the technical expert for passive components (e.g., inductors, capacitors, resistors) in package development projects.
  2. Perform design, drawing, and specification for inductors based on design guidelines and assembly rules, ensuring design for manufacturing, quality, and cost.
  3. Collaborate with internal teams and component suppliers on design, requirements, specifications, and selection; ensuring design for manufacturing, quality, and cost.
  4. Drive passive component development activities, ensuring fulfillment of project milestones, cost targets, and documentation release (specs, drawings, GIMM, etc.).
  5. Liaise with SQM and suppliers to ensure quality requirements, including FAI submissions and qualification releases.
  6. Establish design guidelines and requirements for passive component material specifications.
  7. Own risk interaction assessments and mitigation strategies, focusing on process and material-process interactions.
  8. Provide technical guidance and assistance on interaction topics in projects.
  9. Engage actively with suppliers to explore new technologies and cost-effective designs to maintain competitive advantages.

You are best equipped for this task if you have:

  1. A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Semiconductor Technology, Microelectronics, Automation, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Physics).
  2. At least 7 years of experience in passive component design, development, or manufacturing.
  3. Experience in passive component development and qualification, including material and design aspects.
  4. Knowledge of material physics and properties relevant to passive components (capacitors, resistors, inductors).
  5. Knowledge of SMT manufacturing processes.
  6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
