Job summary

6255 UOB Innovation Hub 2 Sdn Bhd is seeking a senior Splunk specialist to design and implement a firm-wide Log Analytics Platform. You will administer Splunk infrastructure, develop dashboards, and collaborate across teams to deliver production-grade monitoring solutions.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years in log management or IT operations, strong SPL skills, and hands-on experience with DevOps tools and REST APIs. A formal university degree is required, with a focus on IT or computing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science/IT.
• “6+ years of experience in log management, enterprise monitoring or IT operations with Splunk or Elasticsearch.”
• Experience creating dashboards, visualizations, reports, and scheduled searches.
• Experience tuning Splunk components, queries; writing efficient queries.
• Knowledge of Splunk SPL and integration with diverse data sources.
• Familiarity with DevOps concepts and tools (Chef, Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong understanding of Agile (Scrum/Kanban) and related toolsets (JIRA/Confluence).
• Exposure to REST APIs and scripting languages (Python or JavaScript).
• Knowledge of infrastructure as code tools and general IT infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and configure the firm-wide Log Analytics Platform using Splunk.
• Administer and monitor Splunk components and Apps in a DevOps model.
• Maintain roadmap while delivering hands-on technical work.
• Assist users in designing production dashboards and reports.
• Configure custom reporting and alerting.
• Optimize data models, indices, and searches per best practices.
• Coordinate with teams for enterprise issue resolution.
• Develop custom scripts and small programs as needed.
• Support Splunk upgrades and infrastructure expansion.
