Senior Specialist, FCSO Case Investigations AU, JP, MO, PH, TPE
To support the Senior Manager, FCSO Controls & Investigations AU, JP, MO, PH, TPE in discharging responsibilities related to FCSO Investigations for the countries Australia, Japan, Macau, Philippines, and Taipei Branch.
• Support the implementation of the FCSO strategy by escalating appropriate FCC and AML surveillance issues and executing activities in line with guidance documents, Group requirements, and regulatory expectations.
• Handle day-to-day casework and queue management for the Country FCSO team.
• Maintain awareness and understanding of the bank’s business strategy and align the financial crime surveillance operations accordingly.
Responsibilities
Business
- Perform as an FCSO Investigator within the country Financial Crime Surveillance Operations team.
- Conduct duties such as Transaction Monitoring, Global Name Screening, List Management, and Transaction Screening.
- Support and guide stakeholders in decision-making based on current and future policies, practices, and trends.
- Develop good relationships with key stakeholders in Business Segments.
- Ensure timely reporting and escalation of significant AML/CFT risks to the FCSO Lead and Country Head of Financial Crime Compliance.
- Coordinate with operations units to ensure lists and databases used in screening and investigations are current and relevant.
- Ensure the quality and accuracy of case data on enterprise case management systems.
Processes
- Manage Watchlists daily, including timely updates and reconciliation.
- Support FCSO Lead with complex investigations as needed.
- Manage legal and production orders, responding to law enforcement and conducting investigations as appropriate.
- Process TM and NS cases promptly within agreed TATs, with clear narratives for follow-up actions.
- Assist in implementing investigation and surveillance standards set by regulators and Group FCC.
- Report internal SARs for escalated cases to Country FCC / CMLCO.

- Support engagement with the Second Line of Defence for process approval and guidance.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Open-minded and motivated to learn.
- Analytical, interpretative, and evaluative skills.
- Advanced understanding of anti-money laundering.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and quick learner of new systems.
- Research skills and knowledge of money laundering typologies and trends.
- Good communication skills, ability to share knowledge and provide feedback.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
- Ability to work proactively, independently, and within a team.
- Ability to work under time constraints.
- Proficiency in English and Japanese.
