Role Overview: Sourcing Specialist
We are currently supporting a confidential client in their search for a Senior Sourcing Specialist to join their growing team. This is a strategic and impactful role that will be responsible for executing and enhancing the company’s global sourcing and procurement strategy. The ideal candidate will have strong supplier management experience, solid negotiation capabilities, and a track record of achieving cost optimization and value creation across the supply base.
Responsibilities
- Sourcing Strategy Development: Develop and implement comprehensive sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives, ensuring cost-effectiveness and supplier performance.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to drive collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Negotiation and Contract Management: Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms, pricing, and agreements. Manage contracts effectively to mitigate risks and ensure compliance.
- Market Research and Analysis: Stay abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and technological advancements. Conduct regular analysis to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with various departments, including but not limited to R&D, Operations, and Finance, to understand their sourcing needs and align strategies accordingly.
- Supplier Diversity and Sustainability: Drive initiatives to enhance supplier diversity and sustainability, aligning with PerkinElmer's commitment to corporate responsibility.
- Risk Management: Proactively identify and mitigate potential risks in the supply chain, ensuring continuity of supply and minimizing disruptions.
- Performance Metrics: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and monitor the effectiveness of sourcing strategies. Provide regular reports and analysis to senior management.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field. Advanced degree (MBA) is a plus.
- Proven experience (5-10 years) in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably in a global organization.
