Job summary

DJR Power Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a seasoned Solar/Electrical Site Engineer to lead and manage solar PV projects at site. You will plan, coordinate, monitor, and execute installation and commissioning activities, ensuring safety, quality, and timelines.

The role requires hands-on site experience, ability to read electrical drawings, manage subcontractors, and travel to project sites as required. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant site experience in Solar or Electrical Systems.
• Candidates must have hands-on experience in solar PV or electrical system projects.
• Electrical experience is required; Electronic/Electronics experience is not considered relevant for this position.
• Strong knowledge of solar PV installation, electrical systems, testing, commissioning, and site execution.

Responsibilities

• Lead, plan, and execute solar PV projects at site.
• Manage project execution from start to commissioning.
• Coordinate HQ, consultants, clients, subcontractors, and site teams.
• Develop schedules, manpower plans, and material needs.
• Monitor daily site progress against specs and timelines.
• Supervise electrical and solar installation activities on site.
• Ensure proper deployment of manpower, equipment, and materials.
• Monitor costs and resource usage to minimize waste.
• Identify risks and solve site problems.
• Conduct site meetings and report progress to HQ.
• Review drawings, specs, and installation requirements.
• Coordinate testing, commissioning, and handover activities.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and electrical standards.
• Prepare project reports and documentation.
• Manage subcontractors to meet quality standards.
• Deliver projects within scope, budget, quality, and timeline.
