What to Expect
  • Work on an application distributed across multiple data centers, built on microservices architecture with Apache Kafka for synchronous replication.
  • Use proven technologies such as Java, Apache Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift to deliver 24/7 availability and resiliency.
  • Translate business requirements into actionable technical solutions.
  • Design, develop, test (including automated unit and integration tests), and support cloud‑native applications following DevOps and DevSecOps best practices.
  • Contribute to design and technical decisions, and for senior profiles, provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders across different functions, including product owners, product managers, business analysts, architects, and operations.
  • Contribute to integration and automated testing efforts.
  • Prepare technical documentation and ensure high‑quality deliverables.
  • Occasionally assist with deployment activities and configuration changes in production.
  • Help resolve issues reported by customers or internal teams, ensuring timely and quality delivery.

Relevant Experience
  • Software Engineer: Minimum 2+ years of relevant experience.
  • Senior Software Engineer: Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience.

  • Familiarity with Linux OS (e.g., Red Hat Enterprise Linux).
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift).
  • Understanding of event‑driven architectures and Apache Kafka.
  • Knowledge of DevOps/DevSecOps practices and CI/CD tools (e.g., Git, Jenkins).
Nice‑to‑Have (Bonus Skills)
  • SWIFT Alliance products (Alliance Access, Alliance Gateway, Swiftnet Link) knowledge/experience.
  • SWIFT messaging formats knowledge/experience.
  • Hands‑on experience with cloud‑native architectures and running distributed systems.
