Get to Know the Role

As a Senior QA Engineer, you will perform manual quality assurance checks, develop automated test scripts, troubleshoot software issues, and implement testing strategies and tools. You will own quality processes like postmortems and oncall, collaborating with engineering, product, design, and business teams. This role is based onsite at our Malaysia office in KL.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• Perform functional and regression testing for web applications.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance automated test scripts using automation frameworks.
• Drive quality processes such as postmortems and oncall activities.
• Implement manual and automated test cases, maintaining scripts.
• Debug failed test cases and report defects clearly for resolution.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, test leads, and engineers to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
• Define test plans, specifications, suites, and cases; propose testing tools for functional, security, and performance testing.
• Maintain quality dashboards, provide test estimates, and report defects and metrics to monitor sprint and system stability.
• Report to the Engineering Manager.

Qualifications

Essential Skills

Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, IT, or related fields.

Minimum 2 years of experience as QA Engineer, Automation Engineer, or SDE.

Strong understanding of test methodologies, planning, case design, and processes. Ability to debug and report defects.

Practical SQL experience for database queries and testing.

Experience with build and release tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or similar.
