Job summary

Experian Asia Pacific in Malaysia is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and enhance backend services and user-facing apps on our cloud platform. You will build scalable microservices, web interfaces, and platform capabilities to empower product teams to deliver strong customer experiences.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with cloud-based platforms.
• Strong object-oriented design and system architecture knowledge.
• Experience building automated testing frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps processes.
• Experience with cloud-native technologies, distributed systems, APIs, databases.
• Mentoring and coaching engineers to share knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Product Owners, Architects, and cross-functional teams to design, build, and deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Design, develop, test, and deploy software using React, Angular, Java, JavaScript, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Terraform, Git, PostgreSQL, Maven, Gradle, and related tools.
• Write clean, efficient, and reliable code that meets performance, security, and quality standards.
• Drive software quality through code reviews, automated testing, and test coverage improvements using JUnit, Cucumber, Cypress, and similar frameworks.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and support DevOps practices that enable reliable and efficient software delivery.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues, performing root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
• Continuously improve engineering practices, operational processes, system reliability, and development efficiency.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and communicate technical solutions to stakeholders.
• Mentor and support junior engineers through code reviews, technical guidance, and best practice sharing.
