Senior Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design modular and reusable hardware systems for power converters test automation
• Work with cross-functional engineering groups to define test requirements and system definitions from schematics and block diagrams
• Design custom test PCBAs to interface with the power converter
• Design rack-based test systems that integrate PCBAs and off-the-shelf equipment to create modular test solutions.
• Create well-documented diagrams, bills of materials, and standard operating procedures for test automation systems
• Program ATE systems (Chroma)
• Work with vendors to communicate requirements and ensure proper implementation
• Review SAT (Supplier Acceptance Test) and FAT (Factory Acceptance Test)
• Maintain documentation of test procedures, software design, and system specifications.
• Stay updated on industry trends and technologies related to manufacturing testing.
• Create automated test scripts to improve testing efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications

• BS/MS or equivalent work experience in Electrical Engineering or related fields
• 5+ years of relevant working experience designing modular electrical hardware and software for test automation systems in the manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of programming Chroma ATE systems.
• Ability to read electrical circuits and schematics, navigate PCB layouts and understand manufacturer’s product data sheets.
• Experience with industrial buses and protocols (USB, VISA, GPIB, Ethernet, Serial, RS-485, SPI, I2C, CAN, etc.)
• Experience supporting the deployment of automated test equipment in manufacturing environments.
• Hands-on hardware and software integration experience with automated test equipment
• Experience with automation instrumentation such as programmable power supplies, multiplexers, DMMs, signal analysers, signal generators, multifunction devices (digital and analogue).
• Knowledge of Python and Chroma programming language.
• Basic understanding of power supplies and testing
