Senior Software Developer - Semiconductor CIM

• Full-time

Bosch has been present in Malaysia since 1923, with operations in four sectors: Mobility Solutions, Industrial Technology, Consumer Goods, and Energy and Building Technology.

The company has manufacturing sites and R&D offices in Penang, producing automotive electronics, power tools, steering systems, and semiconductors. The PgP5 Plant in Batu Kawan Penang is Bosch’s newest expansion, focusing on semiconductor testing and R&D facilities, with production starting in 2023.

As a member of the software development team supporting the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) at the semiconductor plant, your responsibilities will include:

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into technical specifications.
• Providing strategic consulting on CIM solutions to optimize manufacturing processes.
• Assessing current systems for improvements and documenting solutions.
• Developing and maintaining documentation, conducting training, and sharing knowledge.
• Analyzing workflows to identify bottlenecks and designing solutions to improve efficiency.
• Monitoring and evaluating the performance of CIM solutions.
• Exploring new technologies for manufacturing innovation.
• Working with engineers and stakeholders to ensure system integration.
• Supporting and maintaining existing CIM solutions and troubleshooting issues.

Minimum requirements:

• At least 5 years of professional IT experience in semiconductor manufacturing or similar industries.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology or equivalent.
• Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing and MES systems.
• Experience with semiconductor tools like R2R, SPC, FDC, RMS, RTD, DWH.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C++, C#.
• Experience with SQL, Oracle DB, and data analysis tools.
• Familiarity with project management tools like Jira, Confluence.
• Strong communication skills in English; German is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and in intercultural teams.
