Senior Social Media Manager (Team Lead) Job Description:

To lead and guide the social media team forward in carrying out general day-to-day management, client servicing, pitch preparation, as well as relevant project execution and management for largely external automotive clients and some internal projects.

To lead the team with content strategy development for all accounts, with input from the client, as well as to ensure consistent implementation and improvement

To lead creative concept development and idea creation along with the internal creative team and the social media team (we have an internal creative team comprising a Creative Director, an animator, as well a photographer/videographer and more)

To ensure all members of the team are aware of their tasks and to also ensure team morale is kept high, with the assistance of the CEO.

To help ensure that the team keeps up to date with current trends and adopts industry best practices, including new trending content, new ad functions/solutions, “kaizen” approach, and more, with the aim of continuous improvement

To receive brief and carry out client liaison as well as lead internal communications with other stakeholders (i.e, creative team, etc) to meet the client’s social media requirements, for both retainer and ad-hoc jobs

To lead with other technical aspects of social media, including awareness advertising on platforms like Meta, performance marketing, and more (we do have an internal Performance Marketing specialist)

To help provide relevant post-campaign reports with existing tools, including Facebook Insights, listening tools, and more

To be able to work outside working hours when required in accordance with the demands of the job

To ensure that project deadlines are adhered to and delivered with the required quality

Maintain good relationships with clients in the interest of the Company.

Key Requirement:

Good understanding of social media’s content and advertising aspects, including technical knowledge

Good interpersonal skills

Creative

Good copywriting skills with a strong command of written English

Understanding/experience with automotive clients is not a key requirement, but a bonus

KPI:

To ensure the team is guided well with clear objectives
To help keep team morale high

To ensure that all projects/jobs are well-planned and executed as per the client’s requirements, as well as within the set timeline and with the required quality

To help guide the team to constantly improve and keep up with the latest industry practice

To ensure the company is not put in a bad light

To ensure that the profit margin requirements for the project are met
